La Gigabyte GA-790FXTA-UD5 è la scheda madre Top Gamma con il chipset 790FX. Questa scheda, supporta il CrossFireX per un massimo di 3 Schede Grafiche, la prima Linea PCI-E a 16X e le altre due per un minimo di 8X. La scheda madre supporta solo DDR3, il DualChannel e come Gigabyte ci ha abituato ultimamente, la scheda è dotata della tecnologia Ultra Durable 3 che prevede l’uso di PCB da 2 OZ (il doppio rispetto allo standard industriale), condensatori solidi di produzione Giapponese e induttanze di ferrite.
Come vedremo in seguito, questa scheda madre è equipaggiata anche di due controller di ultima generazione per supportare i nuovi standard USB 3.0 e SATA 3, una delle principali “particolarità”.
